Electrical Knowledge
Over the years I've gained a lot of experience in electrical work and electrical engineering. I can do most electrical work in a house, from installing a new light switch to installing a new fuse box. This knowledge came in handy many times, especially when I started gaining in Smart Home Automation. I've also worked as an intern at a few companies in this field, which gave me a lot of experience in this area.
Photography & Videography
I've been interested in photography and videography for at least 7 years now. I started with a small point-and-shoot camera and I slowly upgraded to a DSLR camera. In that process I learned a lot about photography and videography, how to use a camera, how to frame a shot, and how to edit photos and videos, using Adobe Photoshop , Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator and InDesign. This skill is very useful for me, especially when creating websites, because I'm able to create my own images and videos and display them in a way that makes the website look better.
Designing
In the time I've been studying I've gained lots of experience in designing. Not only the aspect of making something look good and accessible, but the whole process behind it, including user research, prototyping, and user testing. I've also learned different methods and when or not to use them. In addition to that I've also learned how to use different design tools, such as Figma, Adobe XD and Illustrator.
Programming
My main focus at the moment is on web development. I want to learn as much as possible about different technologies and frameworks. Currently, my favorite technologies are TypeScript, Next.js, Material UI and Tailwind CSS. I'm currently working for Bosch as a UX-Designer and Software Developer and am learning something new every day. I'm also working on some side projects, which you can find on my GitHub Profile. I've published a few custom cards for Home Assistant with one of them gaining over 140k downloads. It's a lot of fun to exchange ideas with the community all over the world and to see how people use my cards in their smart homes.
